Canadian singer, songwriter, dancer and actress Julianne Hobby is a versatile performer whose work spans classical and contemporary styles.

Known for her crystalline, soprano and powerful stage presence, Julianne is forging a distinctive path as an artist. Her repertoire moves comfortably from opera and operetta to musical theatre, pop and country music.

Originally from London, Ontario, she completed professional ballet training at Canada’s National Ballet School. Her love for singing led her to Sheridan College’s Musical Theatre program and private study in classical voice. Her experience includes productions with Opera Atelier, The Stratford Festival, Mirvish Productions, and the North American tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber’sThe Wizard of Oz, where she performed the role of Glinda the Good Witch in major venues across the United States, including The Smith Center, Las Vegas and the Pantages Theatre, Los Angeles.

Julianne also brings a unique voice to her work as a country songwriter. Following the release of her debut album, Country Lungs, she has performed her original music at the Calgary Stampede and has been featured on CBC Radio and country stations across Ontario.

She is the creator and producer of Julianne Hobby’s Country Christmas Classic, a joyful, full-length holiday production that showcases her dynamic range as a performer, through music, dance, and storytelling.
